Steel Diver is a side-scrolling, simulation game for the Nintendo 3DS handheld. The player controls a submarine via the touch screen which has levers and wheels.
Development
Edit
The game was originally developed as a tech demo called Submarine for the original Nintendo DS. The game was never fully released for the DS platform however. Steel Diver was revealed at E3 2010 along with the Nintendo 3DS itself. The game was delayed in Japan due to the 2011 Sendai earthquake and tsunami.
Reception
Edit
IGN gave Steel Diver a 7.0/10, praising it for its addictive gameplay, but gave caution that the slow paced strategy is not for everyone.
