Mastermind is the evil doer behind the return of Mystery Inc.'s old foes in Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights. Mastermind is a phantom-like character that is responsible for the disappearance of Professor Alexander Graham and all of Scooby-Doo's friends. It is revealed at the end of the game, after the final boss, that the Mastermind is actually Daphne's friend, Holly Graham.
Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights Edit
The Mastermind is first seen in the mansion, right before Scooby fights The Black Knight, taunting him and introducing himself to him. He also points to a caged Velma. He then exits and leaves Scooby to face The Black Knight. The Mastermind is later seen right before the fight with The Green Ghost. He is attempting to fly away with Daphne tied up but Scooby saves her from him. He then leaves Scooby and Daphne to fight The Green Ghost. The Mastermind is next seen inside the pirate ship, trapping Fred inside a barrel. He once again flees and lets Redbeard's Ghost do away with Scooby. Finally, the Mastermind is last seen before he's boss fight in Professor Alexander Graham's secret lab. He is controlling a device that produces many of the realistic monster holograms. Scooby manages to hit the buttons that rotate the hologram protectors so that Mystery Inc. may "turn the tables" on the Mastermind. This succeeds and the Mastermind jumps into the arena with the endlessly spawning monsters. After his defeat, the Mastermind escapes through one of the Professor's inventions that allow the user to get to the front door from the lab quickly. The gang beat the Mastermind to the front door. Before unmasking, Shaggy says that he thinks the "spooky" Groundskeeper (Scooby-Doo) is actually the Mastermind but the Groundskeeper then shows up scolding him. They finally unmask the Mastermind to find that Professor Graham was the Mastermind all along. However, Velma reveals that Holly is the real culprit.
The first part of the battle, Scooby must defeat all of the monsters that the Mastermind spawns then ram into both red buttons after their electric fields disappear. This must be done three times. The second part is a little harder, Scooby must knock out the Mastermind by ramming into him. He must ram the Mastermind into an electric field once to beat him. However it is not as easy as it sounds, Scooby must deal with endlessly spawning Funland Robots and [[Space Kook]s.
